Learning Opportunities

Traveling Farm

Many children know little about agriculture's role in their daily lives. The Washington State Fair saw the need to bring the experience of live animals and agriculture education directly to the schools.


Ticket Program

The tradition of providing school children with a free ticket to enjoy the educational aspects of the Washington State Fair has been in place for generations.


Teaching Resources

The Washington State Fair, in partnership with the Seattle Times Newspapers in Education have developed teaching resources to enhance learning in the state of Washington.


Spring Fair Poster Project

The Washington State Fair has worked with the Puyallup School District hosting a Spring Fair poster project since 2008. The project offers the chance for second grade and junior high art students to showcase their artistic skills in a fun competition that promotes learning.

Educational Tours

Each September elementary school classes have an opportunity to learn about animals and agriculture first hand at the Washington State Fair. The Educational Tours are held weekdays during the Fair.
